Taleeha Waheed brings a strong background in science and mental health advocacy to the Trauma Care Psychology team. As a first-generation immigrant from a South Asian family, she has seen firsthand how underrepresentation, limited accessibility, and lack of awareness around mental health impact communities. These experiences have driven her passion for breaking down cultural barriers and addressing stigma, with a particular focus on expanding access to care for underrepresented and minority groups.
Having obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo, she is now preparing for graduate-level training in psychotherapy. Taleeha is committed to supporting the clinic’s mission of providing compassionate and inclusive care.
