About Us

At Trauma Care Psychology, we support individuals and couples experiencing painful emotions, difficult past experiences, relationship challenges, or struggling to build the life they envision. Our approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based treatments.

We recognize that culture, identity, and personal history shape how people experience distress and healing. Our therapists combine clinical expertise with compassion to provide care that is thoughtful, personalized, and responsive to your needs.

We aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore difficult experiences, build practical skills, and work toward feeling more grounded, connected, and in control of your life and relationships.

Founder & Clinical Director

Dr. Arela Agako, Clinical Psychologist, founded Trauma Care Psychology to create a space where individuals and couples feel seen, understood, and supported. Growing up between Albania and Canada, she understands how culture, migration, identity, and life experiences shape our emotional lives and mental health.

She works with clients navigating complex trauma, intense emotions, relational difficulties, and other challenging mental health concerns. Trauma Care Psychology combines evidence-based treatments with compassionate, culturally attuned care for those who feel stuck or misunderstood.

Arela oversees the clinic’s work, trains associates, and provides supervision to ensure clients receive thoughtful, high-quality care. Her goal is to help people better understand themselves, move through emotional pain, and build more meaningful lives.
