Borana is a Registered Social Worker and trauma-focused Psychotherapist who holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto. She has completed advanced training in Trauma Counselling (Levels I & II) and is trained in EMDR therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT, Levels I & II).
Borana works with individuals navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and the psychological impact of significant life stressors. Her clinical experience includes supporting refugees, survivors of violence, and individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents. She approaches therapy through careful assessment and collaborative treatment planning, tailoring each therapeutic process to the client’s history, strengths, and personal goals.
Borana is known for creating a therapy space that feels steady, respectful, and emotionally safe — where clients can move at their own pace while feeling genuinely understood. She practices from a culturally responsive perspective and is fluent in Albanian, with professional proficiency in Italian, allowing her to support clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
