Registered Psychotherapist
Tikea Ametlli, MA, RP
I am a Registered Psychotherapist supporting individuals and families through trauma, anxiety, grief, and difficult life experiences, believing healing begins in a safe relationship where you can explore without judgment.
About Me
Whatever you are carrying, you do not have to carry it alone.
Many of the people I work with are carrying more than they let on. It might be anxiety that will not quiet down, the weight of past experiences showing up in the present, grief, relationship struggles, or simply a sense that something is off and you are not sure how to shift it. My goal is to offer a space where those things can finally be looked at with honesty and care, and where moving forward starts to feel real.
I work from a trauma-informed, client-centred foundation, drawing on DBT, ACT, and CBT to help you develop practical tools for managing difficult emotions and build a clearer, more grounded sense of who you are. I shape each session around what you bring that week. Sometimes we focus on a specific skill or pattern. Sometimes we simply make space for what needs to be said.
Culturally sensitive care matters to me. I offer sessions in English and Albanian and work to make sure every client feels genuinely respected and at ease, not just accommodated.
Before You Reach Out
Is working with me right for you?
You don't have to be sure. Most people aren't when they first reach out.
You might connect if...
- You are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stretched too thin
- You are living with the effects of something painful from your past
- You are grieving and finding it hard to know how to move through it
How I work
- I work from a compassionate, trauma-informed, client-centred approach
- I shape the work around you, not a fixed protocol or agenda
- I work at a pace that feels comfortable and respectful for you
What the first session looks like
- The first session is a chance to share what has been on your mind, with no pressure to have everything organized or figured out
- We will explore what brings you to therapy and begin to understand what you are hoping for
- You are welcome to share at your own pace. There is no pressure to talk about anything before you feel ready
